Since the death of Kim Jong-il, I became interested in the idea of designing fictitious dictators. I don't know why, but the crazy and eccentric personality of a god-posing Tyrant just seemed like a fountain of opportunity.

Hey all, my sketchbook has been feeling the fury of my pen over the holidays. This was a little character exploration of a group of construction workers. It was fun to play with different personalities that are peppered over those interesting construction sites that I worked on in a former life.

Hey everyone, here is another character from the JUNK world.

Bounce is one of the main characters in JUNK, who has a little bit of Bruce Banner in him.... Meaning, if he get's a little pissed off or excited, he tends to explode into flames and tear the collective asses of those in proximity.

Character Design has really been my main focus in the last while. I love the creative process and love spending some quality time on trying to break them down as individuals. Discovering different versions and approaches can always be rewarding, especially when revisiting some old designs I had on the shelf! Hope you enjoy...

Ah how I love me some Gordon Ramsay. Who's got some great details and crazy creases in his face. Watching him scream about over-cooking risotto, under-cooking the pork chops or just plain ballsing up any portion of a dish, he'll never hold reservations to bark at you like a rabid pitbull 2 inches from your face and kick you off the show with a majestic "Fuck off"!

I just wanted to depict a quintessential expression of Noel singing something heartfelt. Still awaiting some new tunes from The Chief, but knowing him, he's in no rush.

Since the last update one of my childhood heroes returned to wacky world of wrestling.
Bret "the Hitman" Hart, shockingly returned to the WWE (it'll always be the WWF to me) in an angle with Vince McMahon that people never thought would ever happen.

Bret is/was one of my very favorite wrestlers of all time. Nobody has been better since.
I remember seeing him at Wrestlemania 6 at the Skydome when I was 6, a WWF show at Maple Leaf Gardens and for WCW Nitro and Mayhem (winning the world title against Chris Benoit) in Toronto. I got to meet Bret many years ago and gave him a drawing I did of the Hart Foundation. He thanked me and had a laugh about it. It was intimidating because I knew he drew himself, and especially at the time, I was young and self conscious of my artistic abilities.

I decided to redo that drawing after seeing Bret return, and took pride in bringing "the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be" and his fellow Foundation members (his brother Owen Hart, The British Bull Dog and Jim "the Anvil" Neidhart) to my sketchpad!

Finished Tribute to a fallen hero

People I'm close with know how important George Carlin was to me. Not only a very gifted performer, but he was such an influential thinker.

He had the entire package; amazing facial expressions, a master of timing, impressionist (more so in his earlier work) and an absolutely legendary grasp of the English language. He could paint a beautiful picture with his language, and also used that same ability to dissect it. He also dissected our humanly behaviors. Carlin always questioned authority, laws, popular sayings, beliefs/religion (thank you George), took no prisoners and no cautions in offending people. Whilst doing that, he could also bring people together like no other. He was fantastic at everyday observational humour, under the watch of his beautifully twisted eye.

He was the people's comedian on every level.

That's why I, and millions of others, love George Carlin. He was an undeniable legend who set the bar for all comedians, performers... hell even human beings in general. He was the truth. Again, here's to George, I'm sure I'll be contributing more to the man.

Listened to the Guide of Medicine last week, more fantastic stuff. Seems like I really can't get enough of the Gervais crew. I think I own everything they've done, can't wait for the next audiobook, these guys keep me laughing through the day.

More for the K-Man... Quite a simple take on Karl's views really. I love how he questions everything, he has a little Carlin-esque approach to his logic. Through all the gobbledy-gook, he is so interesting and just funny as hell.
